Sustainability
Our commitment to a lower-impact packaging future — balanced honestly against the barrier and shelf-life your product needs.
Honest trade-offs
Sustainability in flexible packaging is not a slogan — it is a trade-off between recyclability, barrier, shelf-life and cost. We help our customers understand the real trade-off for their product and choose a structure that works commercially and environmentally.
Mono-material (recyclable) structures
Where the barrier requirement allows, we recommend mono-material polyethylene (PE) structures. These are recyclable in collection streams that accept PE film. For lower-barrier applications, mono-PE is often an easy and immediate win.
Downgauging & material reduction
Beyond recyclability, the fastest sustainability wins are often downgauging (using less material per pack) and format rationalisation across your SKU catalogue. We bring data to those conversations.
Soy-based inks & lower-emission solvents
Our printing and lamination lines use lower-emission chemistry wherever the application allows, and we are progressively trialling soy-based inks for food-contact applications.
What we do not claim
We do not use the word "biodegradable" lightly — most flexible-packaging biodegradable claims are context-specific and often misleading. We prefer to use specific, verifiable language: recyclable in which stream, how much material is reduced, which chemistry has what EHS profile. All claims are confirmed in writing per structure.
